Streamline® Class II biological safety cabinets provide optimal performance, now enhanced by the latest SentinelTM Silver microcontroller. The best-in-class ISOCIDETM powder coating suppresses microorganism growth and ensures cabinet cleanliness. With a new design and compliance with EN 12469 standards, the new Streamline® Class II biological safety cabinet exceeds standard safety criteria.

Airflow diagram Streamline®

Air intake occurs through openings located at the front edge of the work surface beneath the working zone and behind the rear wall. Incoming air and clean air do not mix.
External air creates a protective barrier, and the possibility of mixing the external air and clean air flows in the working zone is excluded. Cross-contamination between objects in different corners of the working zone is eliminated.
Closer to the work surface, the airflow is divided into front and rear flows. The front flow passes through the front air intake grille and further under the work surface, while the rear flow exits the working zone area through the rear wall air intake grille of the cabinet. A portion of the downflow air passes at high speed through the side air intake grilles of the work surface.
The air collected above the working zone is distributed as follows. 35% of the total air volume passes through the ULPA filter at the outlet and is released into the environment. 65% of the air passes through another ULPA filter (ULPA filter at the inlet) and returns to the working zone.
Main advantages of the Streamline® SC2-4S1 biological safety cabinet
- The high-efficiency centrifugal fan motor EBM-PAPST® features an external rotor design, compact design, and flat profile. It is self-lubricating
- Fluorescent lamps and switches are located far from contaminated air to ensure maintenance without decontamination
- The ULPA / HEPA filtration system operates with typical efficiency> 99.995% for particle sizes from 0.1 to 0.3 microns
- The ergonomic curved front wall increases user comfort and reduces glare
- Curved-edge armrests provide excellent forearm support
- The frameless screen is easy to clean and provides an unobstructed viewing area
- The ISOCIDETM powder coating suppresses microorganism growth, enhancing safety
- The SentinelTM Silver microcontroller monitors signals, operates all cabinet functions, and manages both upflow and downflow air simultaneously

- Streamline® Class II biological safety cabinets from Esco are certified by Public Health England (PHE) according to EN 12469 standards

An alternative name for a biological safety cabinet is a biological safety cabinet, laminar biological safety box (not to be confused with a regular laminar box).
