FTA-1 Aspirator
Description
FTA-1 is a special device used in laboratories for easy and quick removal of traces of alcohol and residues of other substances from the walls and bottom of Eppendorf tubes and plates. The FTA-1 aspirator is a small portable device, lightweight and easy to use. The device is equipped with a trap flask.
Application
The FTA-1 aspirator is used in laboratories during the following processes:
- DNA purification
- RNA purification
- various methods of molecule re-precipitation
- washing cells from the growth medium
- resuspension in buffer
The FTA-1 aspirator with trap flask is a common and necessary device for the full operation of a laboratory. It is present in any laboratory that works with microorganisms, viruses, and other particles.
The FTA-1 device is used in the following fields:
- medicine
- microbiology
- analytical laboratories
- research laboratories
- biochemistry
- genetic engineering
Features
The FTA-1 aspirator is easy to operate and maintain. It creates negative pressure conditions in the trap flask. The aspirator is fully automatic, with the microprocessor of the device located in the housing. The trap flask is connected to the device itself via a tube with a tip, to which a sensor can be attached. The sensor contacts the plate, after which moisture from the plate goes into the trap flask.
The main feature of the FTA-1 device is the presence of a microbiological aspirational hydrophobic filter, which completely prevents the exit of infected particles of various bacteria from the trap flask. The filter is capable of retaining particles of minimal size smaller than viral hepatitis particles.
